The need for food is becoming critical, but to grow that food many of our present wasteful practices are going to have to be changed. The description of the wastes and pollution of the Nile – the only real water source in Egypt suggests there will be some serious problems shortly with an agriculture model that stays in the past. Aquaponic gardening does not create any polluted waste water and it is extremely efficient as well. No wonder the methods are interesting to environmentalist, prepper and standard farmer as well.
Done right, with the rise in fuel and cost of water, this may become the only economically viable way to grow food in Egypt!
